Sales of flavoured, non-carbonated drinks are expected to surpass soda sales by 2010. In response, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo have introduced new carbonated drinks that are fortified with vitamins and minerals. In further response, Coca-Cola has bought from Darius Bikoff (Energy Brands) for US$4.2 billion the non-carbonated, flavoured water called Vitamin Water. (References: The New York Times, March 7, 2007 and www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_Brands).
Dr. Nathaniel wanted pure water with proper vitamins, but no flavourings, no colourants and no sugar. He also wanted to make hydration an occasion, a live and dynamic drinking event. The rest as they say is history.
Dr. Nathaniel has invented a "rocket" device that is simple to manufacture, and which is generic in nature so that it can be used in any shape or type of bottled water. The rocket contains effervescent spheres which are customisable to any shape or colour. These effervescent consist of proper vitamins, or if chosen otherwise, any other formulation such as energy (as per energy drinks formulations) or immune neutraceuticals (as offered in many homeopathic formulations). The possibilities are endless.
The "rocket" device is completely waterproof after sealing the effervescent in its cage. This complete device is then inserted into the filled water bottle during the bottling assembly line and made available for consumer sales. When the consumer opens the pull-ring from the bottle, the device performs a simple mechanical movement to allow water to gush into the device and hence spark an explosion of effervescent bubbles when the water comes in contact with the effervescent spheres. Eureka!!
Here you have bottled water that has no colour, and no flavourings when you see it for sale in the fridge. But you will see the space-age "rocket" filled with real, pure vitamins. No sugar. Only purity, nothing else. Oh, and with an explosion!!
